Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I received my B.Sc. in Pharmacology from University College Dublin in 2014. I joined the lab of Dr. Breandán Kennedy where I began studying the retina, and specifically cone photoreceptors in Zebrafish. I was awarded a PhD scholarship from the NIH-Wellcome Trust where I could split my PhD between Dr. Kennedy's lab, and the lab of Dr. Anand Swaroop at the National Eye Institute (NEI), part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
I'm currently based in the Neurobiology, Neurodegeneration and Repair Lab in the NEI, and am about the enter the final year of my PhD.
If you would like to contact me I can be reached by e-mail.
